The Present

Working closely in partnership with agencies within the community to contribute to the regeneration of the area. Stronger links have been established with local authorities for the benefit of the community and its residents.

As a result of much hard work in planning and assessing the future needs and requirements for Dawdon and it's residents at this time there are many indicators that Dawdon is improving. Presently a number of ongoing projects which involve many agencies as well as ourselves. These include :

Development of the new Dawdon Industrial Park, with a quick and easy direct link with major routes via the new road.

A new Youth and Community Centre (open December 2000). Including a new branch surgery for Drs Kapoor.

Road calming methods for Princess Road and Hill Crescent.

Increasing road safety in our community.

New gate entrance at Welfare Park incorporating anti motorcycle barriers.

Improved access to Green Drive including easy steps and handrails, wider path, picnic area with table and bench.
