You can reach Easington
Colliery by road from the A19 through Easington
Village and down to the colliery on the A1086. At one
time you could reach us by rail but the station was
closed in 1963. However, we are optimistic that a new
rail halt will soon be opened here once again. This
will provide a much-needed amenity for our community
by giving us easier access to the rest of the
country, we won't be so isolated.
You can also reach us by sea, providing you are a
good swimmer and can climb cliffs. Because we have no
jetty or no easy access from and to the beach. (See
Archeology Page)
You can reach us via a parachute drop from Shotton
Airfield. First find Shotton.
You will hopefully soon be able to reach us through
cyberspace when we get webbed up.
